Wheelchairs in Egypt

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and not long ago, our Wheels for the World team was in Egypt delivering wheelchairs and Joni books in the Arabic language. I loved reading the daily e-mail reports our team leader sent me, but one in particular really touched my heart. The attached photo showed a little girl being fitted to one of our pediatric wheelchairs while her Muslim mother, cloaked entirely in a black burka, reached out to steady her. That day, that little Islamic family discovered that Jesus cares. It made me so grateful to God for the many creative ideas He keeps giving when it comes to sharing the love of Christ with people who have limited or no access to the Gospel. It says in Psalm 96, “Say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns.’” And that’s exactly what we’re doing through Wheels for the World – want to find out more? Visit us today at joniandfriends.org.
