All of us at Joni and Friends join millions across the country in praying for the people of Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas who have lost their businesses, homes and loved ones in the devastating tornadoes. One of our JAF board members lives in Joplin, and our Christian Institute on Disability has a partnership with Ozark Christian College in that city. Thankfully, they’ve been spared tragedy, but many more need our intercessions. Ask God to comfort the grieving, restore hopes, and drive people into His arms as a result of the awful storms –join us in praying by posting your prayers below for the people of Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas!

Almighty God, our Father in heaven, I come to you once again on behalf of the storm victims in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and especially in Joplin, MO. I pray that your Word to us in Romans 8:28 will be applied to all who have suffered loss as a result of this tragedy. Holy Spirit, please be their comforter; Father God, please be their guide; and most importantly, if they don't personally know you, Jesus, as their Savior and Lord, I pray that they will cross paths with someone who can tell them the Redemption Story of God's love for them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

215 words aww I was on a roll. What would her life be like if she wasn't paralyzed in 1967. 1. Not sure if she would have a ministry helping disabled people nor would she have 48+ books telling people about God. 2. I would never have heard of her. 3. I would not be posting on Joni's blog. But since I have heard of her my opinion is: She's the most hard working servant of God that I have ever seen- even working though horrible pain in her back. She is a Legacy that inspires millions. I went through a bout of pain in my back in January- I'm a wimp taking pain but this was bad. Muscle spasms was rampant, it felt like I was paralyzed. I ended up in the ER. I have scoliosis and I don't ever want to go through that again. But if I do then I will pray like I should. I want to be a stronger Christian.

Lord, we do pray that you comfort those who have lost loved ones through the storm. If they don't know You, may they humble themselves and acknowledge Your sovereignty. Provide for them, Heavenly Father, as some have lost all they possessed. We pray for those who are giving aids that You would give them wisdom and grace. In Christ's name, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the one who brings beauty out of suffering. Drive these suffering ones under Your Son's Wings. And forgive us for taking other's sufferings lightly & for focusing on us. Make us all fit for Your soon coming. In Jesus' Holy Name. A-men...
