You may never visit a country like Peru, Romania, or even El Salvador, but your generosity and prayers sent a wheelchair and Bible to a woman who never imagined receiving such a gift.
Maria has spent her lifetime working hard to provide and care for her family in a developing country. As the years went by, her need for a wheelchair grew. Yet the dream of owning her own wheelchair in a country like Peru seemed impossible…
Maria lives with her daughter, Juana, in a modest community in Peru. After hearing about our Wheels for the World outreach from a relative, Juana and Maria traveled over an hour to the distribution site with the hope of getting a much-needed wheelchair for Maria.
Along with the wheelchair, your faithfulness also provided Maria with a Bible and the Joni book in her language. Maria’s message to you: “Thank you for the wheelchair. It’s given me the opportunity for a better life, and I’m very grateful.”
