Donna serving with Wheels for the World in UgandaYour desire to serve people with disabilities can take you anywhere–near or far. For years, Donna Stover has been using her skills as a physical therapist to serve people with disabilities in developing nations through Joni and Friends Wheels for the World. For Donna, serving and learning from people with disabilities is deeply fulfilling. On a recent outreach to Uganda, she fit a wheelchair for a young boy named Jordan. Said Jordan’s father, “The wheelchair means a lot to me – but it means much more to Jordan. Thank you for giving Jordan the full life God has planned for him!” It’s moments like these that keep Donna coming back to serve with Wheels for the World. Volunteering provides her with the opportunity to help others and change lives in the name of Christ. “It is such an honor to use my skills for Jesus and to see people’s reaction of gratitude.” Don’t miss out! Consider volunteering with Joni and Friends! “Pray about it!” is Donna’s wise advice. “Don’t be afraid of what you’re not familiar with. God wants us to get out of our comfort zone. There will always be things that cause you to hesitate, but when you hear the Holy Spirit calling… go!”
