Diana MoodYes, that's me around 1974, and that's my friend, Diana Mood – why does she still inspire me to this day? Well, right after I broke my neck, she lived out John 15:13, "Greater love has no one than this: that he lay down his life for his friends." Diana was a constant companion when I was in the hospital recovering from my spinal cord injury – she even took a semester away from college so she could be a candy-striper in my hospital (that way, she could help me more).

When I graduated from rehab, Diana continued to help me adjust to my new life in a wheelchair. She even convinced me to sign up for classes at the University of Maryland (she found notetakers to assist me, and other helpers to meet me in the cafeteria). In short, she became the gospel to me, showcasing what John 15:13 should look like in everyday life. Diana taught me that normal Christian service is sacrificial service. And that's why she ranks under "People Who Inspire Me!"

Dear Joni, Your ministry, for many years, has been a primary source of support for my faith and that of my handicapped daughter. Please pray for my two sons and their wives to come to faith in Jesus. Thank you, Rosemarie

I am so blessed to have found this ministry. I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I am not worried however, God has shown me great and wonderful things through it all. Like you Joni I have had friends show this same scripture to me. I never knew I had so many great friends in my life. I pray for your ministry and my spiritual walk to be half as grand as yours. blessings from Just me .

My wife has chiari malfunction number 1 and has a lot pain. Please pray for her that God heal her. I love her very much and her name is Toni. She keeps a great attitude and loves Jesus. I told her about your testimony and she was inspired by it. May God continue to bless you and give you strength in your pain as well. Your brother in Christ, Stephen Robison

You know, this makes an excellent point on John 15:13. Many people think that means to die for another, but I think it means to live for others. Taking the example of Christ found in Philippians 2, Jesus considered His life in Heaven with the Father, to be nothing, and humbled himself to walk as a human. While He did lay down his human life for us, that was not His ultimate sacrifice. This life was nothing to lay down! The real sacrifice was to lay aside all He had in Heaven to serve us.
