When you choose to step out in faith, God uses your faithfulness and prayers to transform lives in his name.

God is working through you to change the hearts of people with disabilities all over the world. Let me share with you a story of 15-year-old Julius and his mother, Grace, from Uganda.

After having malaria at nine months old, Julius became paralyzed from the waist down. Julius and Grace waited almost 15 years for a wheelchair. This young man, full of hopes and dreams, knows the daily pain and struggles of living with disability. He wants to go back to school, but his mother, who is a peasant farmer, could no longer carry him there.

Julius and Grace came to our Wheels for the World outreach, and that day, your faithful partnership changed their future forever. They were shown love and care as our volunteer Wheels team brought a wheelchair for Julius, but your gift of a wheelchair delivers much more than mobility. It’s a tangible statement that Julius is valued and loved by God, and that there is hope for his future.

Life-changing, hope-filled words of Scripture were read to Julius and Grace before they left to make the journey back home. After hearing Joni’s story and the Gospel, they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

Grace shared, “We’ve never seen such love in our lives. Our village will want to know where we received this wonderful gift of a wheelchair. Julius and I will hold our heads up high because we now know we are loved and valued by God.”
